Treads that are freely supported by the external side, resting solely on the central core of the staircase, were exactly what was desired in the design of the Light model. This feeling of freedom was the main objective. The staircase can stand on its own with the simplicity and robustness provided by the 50mm treads and the thick core.

The handrail and balustrade present a minimalist proposal in wood, metal, or a combination of both. However, they could also be unnecessary if the staircase is placed inside a “barrel.”

• Central column made of wood
• Treads with a thickness of 50mm that do not require additional support from risers between the treads
• Uprights with a cross-section of 70x50mm
• Wooden steps with a thickness of 17mm. The number and width of the steps depend on the desired aesthetic.
